STAINLESS STEEL SHAFT SLEEVE is machined by SS316 or SS304 materail, it is uncoated. It is popular applied in the centrifuagl pumps, which could enlarge shaft service life. We can produce the standard shaft sleeve, also we can accept the customized shaft sleeve according to the sample and drawings.
CERAMIC COATING SHAFT SLEEVE has a CR2O3 coating on stainless steel shaft sleeve, the cost is higher than the standard shaft sleeve, but its service life is prolonged 2 times more.

Mission Magnum Pump Assemblies:

All Mission pump sizes have been assembled with ceramic coated shaft sleeves in the past. Currently the mechanical seal version of the pump is being changed and the sleeve used will be 416 stainless steel c/n 646492505. When utilizing a mechanical seal, the ceramic coated wear surface is not required and the mechanical seal faces provide the seal. When disassembling a mechanical seal pump it is sometimes difficult to remove the ceramic sleeve without destroying it and making the task more difficult. When calling for replacement parts a shaft sleeve assembly kit c/n 641102181 was normally specified. That kit had the ceramic coated shaft sleeve c/n 646490656 and two o-rings.

A new replacement part number has been created. C/N 641102182 is an assembly with the 416 stainless steel sleeve and o-rings. Please see that customers wanting the 416 stainless steel shaft sleeve for the mechanical seal pumps are aware of the replacement kit.
